Welcome to Someone Listens (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services, including booking and participating in support sessions. By using our site or services, you agree to these Terms.

1) Nature of Service

Someone Listens provides non-clinical emotional support sessions via scheduled phone or video calls. We do not provide therapy, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. We are not a crisis intervention service.

If you are in crisis or thinking about self-harm: call or text 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or contact your local emergency services immediately.

2) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.
  • You agree that information you provide is accurate and complete.

3) Confidentiality

Someone Listens provides a confidential service. At no time are you obligated to provide your real name, location, or any other identifying information about your person. We may contact you asking for a review of our services. These reviews, including your information, will never be shared with the general public without your consent and agreement.

We do not record sessions. We may disclose information only if required by law or if we believe there is an imminent risk of harm to you or others.

4) Payments & Billing

  • Payment is required at the time of booking through our approved payment processor (PayPal).
  • Monthly plan subscribers are billed automatically each month until canceled.
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Taxes and fees may apply.

5) Cancellations & Refunds

  • You may reschedule or cancel up to 12 hours before your appointment for a full refund or credit.
  • Cancellations within 12 hours of the appointment time and no-shows are non-refundable.
  • Monthly plan sessions expire at the end of the billing cycle if unused.

6) User Conduct

  • Be respectful and honest during sessions.
  • No harassment, threats, abuse, hate speech, or illegal activity.
  • Do not attempt to record or distribute session content.

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service for violations of these Terms.

7) Liability/Claims

Someone Listens provides a support call service. At no time do we claim, or have ever claimed, to represent a medical, mental health, or psychiatric service or claim to be a substitute for any professional or crisis services. Although our services may provide relief from loneliness or fulfill the need for social interaction, we do not claim to treat or cure any diagnosable condition. We are not responsible for any decrease or increase in symptoms or conditions suffered before, during, or after engaging in our support services. If you believe you suffer from any physical or mental condition, please contact a medical professional. If you have thoughts of harming yourself or others, please contact emergency services immediately.

8) Disclaimer of Warranties

The services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using our services.

9) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Someone Listens and its owners, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the services.

10) Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

By participating in our services, you agree to these conditions, and any conditions presented herein.
